Trailer Time!!!!

This week I present to you the newest Quentin Tarantino film, Inglourious Basterds. Tarantino is known for his bloody and violent films, and this looks to continue that same tradition. I'm not the biggest fan of Tarantino, although I love Pulp Fiction, but I am pretty interested in this film. The film has a number of big name stars attached to it, Samuel L. Jackson, Brad Pitt, Mike Myers (surprisingly), and Cloris Leachman. Brad Pitt is in the starring role as Lt. Aldo Raine and one of the coolest things about him is the accent, especially the way he says Nazis.

While it does not come out until August, I'm still excited for it. Hopefully everything fits together, although with any Tarantino film it does not need much of a story to provide the audience with blood and guts.

Trailer Time!!!!

I know I am a day late, but oh well shit happens. This week though I bring the first trailer, at least the first one I have seen, for the new Guy Ritchie film Sherlock Holmes. Interestingly enough it looks like the film is full of much more action than I thought it would be. I figured it would rather be Sherlock Holmes solving a mystery with a few fight scenes here and there, but this trailer ends with a pretty impressive explosion. Sherlock Holmes is being played by the debonair Robert Downey Jr. It is hard to tell how his performance as Holmes is going to turn out from the trailer, but I am willing to bet it will be a blast. Starring opposite him as the indomitable sidekick Dr. John Watson is Jude Law. It should prove to be interesting to see how the relationship between one of the first "crime stopping/mystery solving" teams works out. Playing the femme fatale is the gorgeous Rachel McAdams. Three big actors and a director known for crazy plots should make for an interesting film. Guess we will all find out come July 24.

Trailer Time!!

Starting this Sunday, May 11 (Mother's Day), I am going to try and post up a trailer or two of movies being released in theatres over the next couple of months. First up we have an awesome trailer from the latest Tim Burton film, 9. It takes place in a post apocalyptic world. Humans are either in danger of becoming extinct or they already are, but a plot this standard is not what makes this movie awesome looking. Instead it is the visuals and the character designs that I feel make it worth your time. The landscapes look amazing, but the visuals are not the only arresting part of this trailer. It is the dark, ominous look pervading the world in which the characters live that makes it compelling. Of course with Tim Burton producing it, there is not a chance in hell that it would be all buttercups and sunshine. Take a look at the trailer and make a decision for yourself, but I for one can not wait until September 9.
